About

About
I am a certified water baby, adventure photojournalist, storyteller, sailor, traveler, problem solver, family girl & dog lover. I live by three simple rules: Always do your best, Always do what’s right and Always treat people the way you want to be treated. Work hard, play harder and laugh a lot.

Over the last two years I have completely immersed myself in the sailing lifestyle, voyaging over 40,000 nautical miles, spending nearly a year at sea and visiting over 30 countries. The ocean has played the biggest role in my growth, teaching me humility, patience, respect, the value of persistence, passion and a connection to something far bigger than myself.

Every assignment is unique and I try to be ready for whatever may come my way. Things hardly go as planned, so I always try to be prepared ‘for the worst.’ As my dad would say, “Never leave home without duct tape, knife or a flashlight.” You’d be surprised at how often that advice has rang true.

My goal in shooting any assignment is to tell a meaningful story and too hopefully come out with something unexpected.

I am a hybrid of my parents that enjoys cooking, talking and sipping wine with my mom equally as much as I love hunting, fishing and drinking scotch with my dad. I expect a lot out of myself and am certainly my own worst critic. It’s a great day at the office if I come back wet, dirty or almost run over by a boat.

I am a full-time freelance photojournalist based in Omaha, NE. My bags are always packed and I am willing to shoot anything, anytime, anywhere.
